45th anniversary of Selma march

Winnie Mandela, Arne Duncan and Jesse Jackson attended the 45th anniversary of the Selma, Alabama civil rights march.

Winnie Mandela has been giving interesting interviews lately taking a more radical line than Nelson Mandela.(1)

Nelson Mandela will not attend events today to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his freedom from apartheid prison. However, he will attend the “State of the Union” speech of president Zuma.(2)

Arne Duncan spoke to the media about a need for civil rights enforcement in public schools.(3)

For me the question is, bringing Iraq troops home, appointing a new Supreme Court justice — I do not see why we need Obama as opposed to Jesse Jackson or another Black liberal Democrat. These issues all get used to justify lynching.
